The Norton Museum of Art is presenting BIJOUX!, a contemporary art jewelry show, offering the public the chance to purchase unique contemporary art jewelry pieces directly from their creators.
BIJOUX! Preview Cocktail Party Wednesday, February 26, 2014 / 6 PM
40 international artists will be showing including seven from Israel: Dania Chelminsky, Nirit Dekel, Liat Ginzburg, Asnat Koblenz, NoaLia (Noa Liran & Lia Kirel), Sara Shahak, and Inbar Shahak Berchman.
The artists, based in Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, the Netherlands, Scotland and the United States work in gold, silver, porcelain, beads, acrylic, glass, iron, steel, diamonds, and other materials. Their designs range from very conservative to avant garde. « The jury tried to choose artists who would show well here » Event Chair Donna Schneier said, adding that BIJOUX! is as much about education as sales.
